I just set up my mom’s website with godaddy, and I’m still new to this. I want to try and set up her email, but I have two different email options. What is the difference? I tried their help site, but I couldn’t seem to find the answer I was looking for.
These are my options:
Free Email with domain – Personal Email (1 GB Total/1 Box) Use Credit (1 Avail)
Free Email with hosting – Free Hosting Email Account (100MB) Use Credit (1 Avail)
Basically I want to be able to sent up an email with info@xxxx.com or maybe contactus@xxxx.com.
Which is the one i want to use and why?
Plus, do you know if I will be able to set up multiple email ID’s? (like both info and contactus, and have them go to same inbox?)
I have multiple domains registered through godaddy… We will call two of them "MyMappedDomain.com" and "MyForwardedDomain.com". I have "MyMappedDomain.com" is mapped to my IP through a different company. GoDaddy is forwarding "MyForwardedDomain.com" to "MyMappedDomain.com" but there is no direct mapping of "MyForwardedDomain.com" to the IP. On my Ubuntu server I have "MyMappedDomain.com" up and running but want to be able to run two sites. With the info above can i still redirect any request to "MyForwardedDomain.com" to a different site on my server since the forarding is occuring through GoDaddy and there is no direct p mapping going on? Note I am using "rapache" on my ubuntu server.
We have made a website (for this let’s say it is www.me.com) hosted by MobileMe and the domain provided by GoDaddy. Right now the long URL Apple provides is forwarded (with masking) to www.me.com. However, when we click a different page on our website, the URL stays at www.me.com. We would like to use the Subdomains provided to us by godaddy or use the area after the main web address (so it would be you.me.com or me.com/you). How do we do this? Thank You!!
I know nothing about web sites… here’s my situation:
I have a portfolio website through indexhibit.
a domain name through godaddy.
my host on the other hand is kind of unknown. see the website was an assignment for a class, where the teacher just told us a friend of his to go through.
I have no way of contacting him, and I need my information in order to sign in to cyberduck.
I noticed I can have multiple hosts/nameservers by looking at my account information on godaddy.
If I register with another host, will I mess anything up? I really need this website and desperately need to update it through cyberduck, PLEASE HELP ME!
Thank you so much! It’s been impossible to find somebody who was able to understand that question since I have no idea what I’m even talking about. Your help has gotten me one step closer to beginning my career, thanks again.
Ok.. I’ve designed a page on dreamweaver, but I’ve never uploaded one to the web. Help me understand this stuff..
GODaddy confuses me a little. These are my questions.
1) What does web hosting typically cost. According to GoDaddy I’ll be paying for the domain, hosting and protected registration.
It will NOT let me pick domain name without picking protected registration. It all adds up to about .
Does that sound right?
2) I want to put up about 3 websites..
So if I purchase hosting for ONE website.. do I have to purchase it [hosting] for EACH website?
Or once I purchase hosting.. I can put up multiple websites as long as they are within the size limits of my hosting plan?
Will it cost me EACH time i have to put up a website? Please make sure to answer those questions and explain it to me.
Ok I currently have 1 domain name with my ultimate godaddy hosting account but im having a hard to with hosting another domain name. I added the domain name to the hosting and adding the name servers and ip address but when i try to upload wordpress application it only shows the 1 domain name i already have wordpress with and i don’t want to override it. the new domain name i added is theshareprice.com and i currently have one site up called topbodz.com
I am in the game for getting a website up and running. I was going to buy the domain through GoDaddy as it is extremely cheap, but their and everyone else’s hosting service is a little pricey for a website that might just flop. Then I saw that WordPress.com has a free hosting service and the domain is only slightly more pricey. So I went to buy the domain, which is unregistered, through their sign-up page, but when I entered the information and clicked "Sign up"; it just refreshed the page and didn’t do anything. I tried this multiple times with the same result. Any ideas or should I just totally abandon this avenue?

Review of Godaddy Reseller Program
Why is Godaddy Reseller Program better than many other web hosts including Hostgator? Godaddy’s program has 50 products to choose from including hosting, domains, private domain registration, SSL, website builder, email and hosted Exchange. No need to have your own customer support because Godaddy handles support for you. Godaddy handles the billing, support and direct marketing for you too.
Their reseller plan may not be the easiest to integrate with a custom website, but if you do not have any site yet, then there is no problem at all. You also have no cPanel which may be required by some customers. But at such low price of less than $10, as compared to other reseller hosting plans like Host Gator, you got very little to lose.
It is well known that Godaddy is not only the best domain registration service, but it also has the best reseller hosting packages. Better Business Bureau (BBB) gives them a rating of A+, which is the highest rating possible. They have been accredited at BBB since the year 2000. That says a lot about their willingness to resolve issues with their customers. Please leave your own Godaddy review in the comment box below if you think we are wrong.
