I have had my site with YahooDomains since 2002… but I don’t like the forced changes they are making me adapt to. What is a good site to have host my site? Right now it is under 100mb, without much traffic, nothing really fancy, but it has over 100 pages within it. I need to have multiple email accounts, and I want to have my own domain with email accounts like @mydomainname.com, not @mydomainname.host.com. I want it to be a realiable host. I currently use CuteFTP 4.2 to upload, so if I can keep using it that would also be a plus.

Hi,

I just set up my mom’s website with godaddy, and I’m still new to this. I want to try and set up her email, but I have two different email options. What is the difference? I tried their help site, but I couldn’t seem to find the answer I was looking for.

These are my options:
Free Email with domain – Personal Email (1 GB Total/1 Box) Use Credit (1 Avail)
Free Email with hosting – Free Hosting Email Account (100MB) Use Credit (1 Avail)

Basically I want to be able to sent up an email with info@xxxx.com or maybe contactus@xxxx.com.

Which is the one i want to use and why?

Plus, do you know if I will be able to set up multiple email ID’s? (like both info and contactus, and have them go to same inbox?)

I have created multiple websites. I’ve never had a problem. I recently tried to create a website hosting it with my computer, but I can only access it through localhost and not through the domain. I have my computer all setup as a DMZ host, and I know my ISP doesn’t block port 80 because I’ve never had this problem. Here is the website http://spirrwell.gotdns.org/ (I am hosting it with a temporary host right now so you can try to connect) Any help is greatly appreciated.
I know the temporary host doesn’t work that’s the point that’s what I’m trying to fix.

So, I’m going to be designing a site for my mom.

She wants a site that can have multiple pages. She also needs a site where she can post photos of swimmers and can be eaily organized. In addition, we need to be sure we can design our own template for the site with no hassle. On the optional side, member login/register, where they can get messages from the main admin, a domain, or possibly message forum.

We want to stay relevently cheap, but are willing to pay some money. Can anyone provide links to different website hosting sites that can do these?

I wanted to see if anyone had any ideas of a sitebuilder that would work with what I need. I wanted to use WordPress but I cannot do videos or integrate vBulletin. I like Blogspot but I cant do multiple pages.

I have been working on my website for about forever. I found a ‘builder’ I like. It’s www.blogger.com which is just a blog program. I like it because I can make it look how I want with HTML coding. I know SOME HTML but cannot write templates very well. I also have a vBulletin forum for the site as well. My husband owns our server and hosts my site. I also have Zen Cart but can change if need be. I use alot of digital scrapbooking to do my pages.

My current site is www.eastbayyorkies.blogspot.com
I do sites like that on there for other people as a side business. They dont mind using Blogger but they also dont mind having one page. I also have my domain, its just hosted with Blogger until I get it done.

Any ideas?????

I have multiple domains registered through godaddy… We will call two of them "MyMappedDomain.com" and "MyForwardedDomain.com". I have "MyMappedDomain.com" is mapped to my IP through a different company. GoDaddy is forwarding "MyForwardedDomain.com" to "MyMappedDomain.com" but there is no direct mapping of "MyForwardedDomain.com" to the IP. On my Ubuntu server I have "MyMappedDomain.com" up and running but want to be able to run two sites. With the info above can i still redirect any request to "MyForwardedDomain.com" to a different site on my server since the forarding is occuring through GoDaddy and there is no direct p mapping going on? Note I am using "rapache" on my ubuntu server.

Sooo i have registered a domain and got a Linux hosting from bigrock.com which allows me to host multiple domains in the same cost.
Can I design my own website for the domain I have purchased? Is there any software which i can use for free? My business has not yet started making enough revenue so i am looking to do the desining part myself and save the designing money. I dont have any technical knowledge.

Please suggest some Free non-technical software which allows me to create pages and then load it to my hosting space under the domain name I have purchased.

1. Can I host multiple sites on a single IP with same port 80? If so, how? My sites will be like
site1.mydomain.com
site2.mydomain.com
etc

2. If my IIS doesn’t belong to a domain (e.g. mydomain), can I enable the Access Authentication feature so that only users from mydomain can access it?

I have other domains within my network (eg. domain2, domain3, etc). When I have "Anonymous access" unchecked, only users from mydomain can acces the site, domain2, domain 3 can’t.

3. I don’t want to make this server to be par of mydomain domain. Do I have to?

My inbox is getting flooded with these notices and I called my web host (it’s a web-based email client), but was told simply to delete the messages. The email addresses in question are similar to my own domain, but I never sent the emails although I’m being told that the emails are undeliverable. The host said that spammers are obviously sending emails with my address as the reply to. My concern is that I am now unable to email 2 of my clients because I get bounce-backs telling me that I was trying to send them a virus or spam! What is going on and how do I stop this from happening??!! Thanks for your help..
