08 FebWhy can't I find the persons Ip Address in yahoo? Comes up only showing yahoo ip?

A frequently-asked query:

I look at the full header of multiple emails from this person and I can’t seem to pull up one that shows his ip from his home? The ones that he had to send from home or phone only show up the yahoo ip address. Is there something I’m doing wrong, Maybe its blocked from his house? I got a email to my gmail and I’m not sure if its the same guy but I did track it and be able to see its coming from a house, would gmail be able to find the ip better and more reliable? Here are a few full headers from his messages. Through yahoo via to his email at home its not showing up a ip… Just yahoo ip?

27 NovCrazy situation with my website/web host/server/etc…?

A frequently-asked query:

I know nothing about web sites… here’s my situation:

I have a portfolio website through indexhibit.

a domain name through godaddy.

my host on the other hand is kind of unknown. see the website was an assignment for a class, where the teacher just told us a friend of his to go through.

I have no way of contacting him, and I need my information in order to sign in to cyberduck.

I noticed I can have multiple hosts/nameservers by looking at my account information on godaddy.

If I register with another host, will I mess anything up? I really need this website and desperately need to update it through cyberduck, PLEASE HELP ME!
Thank you so much! It’s been impossible to find somebody who was able to understand that question since I have no idea what I’m even talking about. Your help has gotten me one step closer to beginning my career, thanks again.

24 AugHow Do you know if a web host will keep its promises?

A frequently-asked query:

For example, I see a lot of posts that say unlimited bandwidth, multiple domain names as an add-on, and things like that

I really don’t know anything about web hosting. All I want is a simple web host, that is affordable, let me have three or more add-on domains, can host a blog, it can grow with me . eventually I would like to have a shopping cart, and so on. I don’t want one that goes down all the time.

It all seems to have a really good template because I have zero programming skills.

I’m overwhelmed with what’s out there. I don’t know who keeps their promises, or who’s best to go with. How easy is it to change hosts if I pick the wrong one?

I guess I’m just too new at this, and I don’t know where to find the answers I need. Any thoughts?

05 JunAdvice and suggestions on web hosting companies?

A frequently-asked query:

I’ve been looking for a webhost to host 3 different sties I have under 1 plan. I don’t need a dedicated server or anything big and fancy (yet).

I use Yahoo now for one of my sites but they don’t support hosting multiple domains on one plan. That is a must for me.

So far I’m considering BlueHost, DreamHost, and IPowerWeb. Any thoughts on them? Are there any other hosts I should consider?

Are there any good web hosting catalogs with user reviews? I looked for user reviews web hosting providers and I didn’t have much luck.
@#Red and others:

I will not click affiliate links or any links which appear to have referal code.

20 FebLooking for Reliable and Affordable Multiple Domain Web hosts

Question about multiple domain: Affordable per month range and have a good uptime and customer service ratings. Would like to host multiple domains, possibly as many as 20-30 on the same account. The site will not be incredible involved, some 5 pages, some 1 page, others a blog format.

Suggestions are welcome on being able to host multiple domains on one hosting account without any additional fees.
For those of you recommending hosts, can you fwd sites to reviews of these hosts for uptime and customer service competence / timeliness?
