I look at the full header of multiple emails from this person and I can’t seem to pull up one that shows his ip from his home? The ones that he had to send from home or phone only show up the yahoo ip address. Is there something I’m doing wrong, Maybe its blocked from his house? I got a email to my gmail and I’m not sure if its the same guy but I did track it and be able to see its coming from a house, would gmail be able to find the ip better and more reliable? Hahaha, come on! You can’t get IP from web based email services!! Why do you think everyone uses them!! Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoomail, they are all web based for a reason, you’ll get the IP from the server, not the client! It’s a security against people who wants to get their IP!!!! They might keep it though, if it’s crucial information (I know it’s not), go to the police department, virtual crimes section (whatever it’s called where you live) and they will try to get it, but you’ll have to file a complaint. I hope you are not simply trying to get an IP for fun as you won’t get one!
